Jessica and Tony Get Married

This weekend I totally pushed myself and am so happy too! I've had little interest in my camera lately and decided it was time to make a little extra effort. My dear friend, Emily (www.ebelingartstudio.com) hired me to shoot a wedding with her on Sat. The day started out briskly cold, but bright and slowly warmed up as the sun rose. We had a little mix up with the time that resulted in baby sitter complications but thankfully everything worked out in the end. The couple (who I had not met before) were a cute pair. Both Tony and Jessica have a great energy and are pretty animated people. I got the impression that Jessica loves to laugh and Tony affords her many an opportunity to use that big smile of hers.

After the ceremony we headed to my part of town for photos on top of a hill near our community garden. There is a stunning view of the city from that hill and the couple loved the idea of using this location. The time of day was perfect for our photos as the sun was starting to go down and the light was so warm and inviting. I turned my flash off, tucked it into my shoot sac and proceeded to challenge myself to use the natural light to my advantage as I worked around Emily's poses trying to capture extra details. Here are some of my shots!
